Login Problems ? Please Read . .

I've been notified about a problem that most of the users are unable to login at times.
So, i've come up with a solution which seems to work :

1. Delete all your cookies, temporary internet files etc. You could use CCleaner for this job, its a handy tool, can be configured as per requirements.
2. Then visit DS-Forums again and try to login again.

Alternatively, if you use Mozilla, you can use this method :

1. Open the options window.
2. Click on the 'Privacy' tab.
3. Then, click on the 'Cookies' sub-tab and then on 'Exceptions'.
4. In the field 'Address of website' type :
"www.desi-instincts.com"
(without the quotes, obviously)
5. Click on 'Allow' and close the window.
6. Click 'OK' on the options window.

Viruses/Trojans - The poster is responsible

Link Protectors are NOT allowed !

In an effort to help stop phishers and scammers gaining a larger audience we have decided to disallow the posting of links which are protected by link protectors. These websites piggyback off our traffic and cause massive inconvenience to our members, as well as using complicated scripts to record keystrokes, these websites could easily compromise your computer further.

We are yet to see a link protector host that is truly capable of protecting links. In abstract, links cannot be protected unless the linked content is proxied through servers, which I doubt any link protector host would do, due to the high operating costs involved.

Quote:Any user found posting phishing links would be banned from DS completely without any warning.

We also encourage users to report any links found by them, which point to such phishing websites by using the report link.

Rapidshare Downloading Trouble!

Hey, recently started my downloads through Rapidshare acting weird, everytime when I was downloading something from it, it freezed every 5-10seconds while downloading, 2 days ago didn't I have theese problems but suddenly they just came.
It's really annoying and I don't know what to do, would be nice if any of you guys had an solution or something as it takes ages to download files this way.
Please help me if you got any idea what to do.

Here's how :

1. Left click on the download link, it leads to a page.
2. There you would see two boxes, click on the left box link where it says "continue with free"
3. After the page reloads, it asks you to enter a code into a box, so do that.
4. Go below the page a little and you will see a link saying, "Click here to Download'. Right Click on it and select save target as ... to start the download.

General Board-wide

1.1) All publicly displayed messages are only limited to English. This includes posts, titles, signatures, profiles and other forms of public display.

Warning System

2.1) Members who disobey the rules will be warned or banned depending on what the moderator believes is the appropriate punishment.

2.2) Members can be warned a maximum of three times. On the third, the member will be immediately banned. This does not mean that you have to have a warning to get banned, moderators may ban you without warnings depending on the offense.

2.3) A warning can have a time bomb unless you're banned. If a time bomb is set, your warning will automatically expire after a certain number of days.

2.4) If you believe you do not deserve the warn please contact the moderator who warned you. Talking back to the moderator who gave you the warning with no sense of respect will lead to further warnings.

If you do not know why you received a warning, an email and private message would have been sent to notify you of the reason why you were warned and who warned you.

General Posting Rules :

3.1) All topics must contain a full description.

3.2) Treat others positively and with respect. Flaming other members or other forums will lead to a warning, possibly even a ban.

3.3) Topics must be submitted to the relevant forums. Please read the forum descriptions before posting.

3.4) Topic titles must be descriptive.

Examples:
A good example is "Help needed with game".
A bad example is "HEEEEELP!".

Spam Rules :

How do I install the data.001 file

Hello,
Can anybody give a precise procedure on how to extract the files and install them from files with the data.exe,data.001,data.002,data.003 extensions.
It just the work the way you guys have been saying.
After selecting the folder in which its supposed to install the files into, it says "additional files would be downloaded from the internet when needed, click yes to continue", then its starts trying 2 download the files again from the net. This is frustrating :oops: :oops: because i have already downloaded 3 games and can't seem to install any( Assassin creed, Gears of War, Lynch and kane). Can anybody post a solution for me......please.....

How to extract files from (.exe & .001) files :

1) Download all the parts and put them all in a single folder on your computer.
2) Simply double click the (.exe) file and small window should now appear.
3) In the window, click on browse and select where you want the files to be extracted to.
4) Enjoy your files !

If during extraction, you encounter CRC errors or any other errors, then it shows that your downloaded parts are corrupted, so please re-download the parts.

How to extract files from downloaded parts (.part1.rar) file types :

1) Download all the parts.
2) Put all the files into a single folder.
3) Open WinRAR on your computer (if you don't have it, search for it on google.com, then download and install it)
4) In the WinRAR window, click on the Extract button, then select the (part1.rar) file and also select a destination to extract the files to.
5) You now have your files extracted. Enjoy !

How to download files from Rapidshare.com :

1) Left-Click on the Rapidshare link. When on the Rapidshare page, scroll down and click on the "Free" button.
2) After the page refreshes, you will see a countdown timer, wait for the timer to end.
3) After that, you will now see a code in a picture. Enter this code in the box provided.
4) Click on download button. Your download should start now.

Note :-
1) Download accelerators will NOT work for file downloads from Rapidshare.com
2) After you download one file by the above method from Rapidshare, you will have to wait a lot (100 mins in some cases). This is a restriction imposed by RS. However there is a work around for this problem :

To fool rapidshare in this restriction, simply disconnect and then replug your modem/broadband internet cable from you computer. Then try to download the files again and you won't have to wait for the long time periods !!!
